10 months old :)

Mae is 10 months old, I cannot believe that I have a 10 month old little girl. Everyday is so much fun with her and she is changing and growing daily I swear! She is crawling all over like crazy and is so close to walking! She still does not love food and mostly only gets her food from nursing. Lately we have been trying a lot more foods and I would say her favorite (if you could even say she has one) is yogurt! She seems the most happy to eat that. Other foods we have tried are pears, carrots, bananas, applesauce, rice cereal, oatmeal and sweet potatoes. And honestly she isn’t a big fan of any of them, but we are trying!

She is still so tiny but the Dr. said she is slowly growing and not shrinking so we are at least headed in the right direction. Her last 9 month apt she was in the 2% for weight! She is little one but so stinking cute!

She is talking more and likes to make noise especially in church when it is time to be quiet. She still growls but not as much, which is kind of sad because that is soo funny! She says momma and finally said dada the other day! It is absolutely adorable and I cant wait to hear her talk more and find out what is going on in that little mind of hers. She is so easy going and happy all of the time but very busy! She is so active and never really tops moving.. she is full of funny faces and has started to do this big cheesy grin face that we love! She has two teeth on the bottom and is getting one tooth on top. Not in the front but the side! Haha it is cute.

Me and her dad are absolutely in love with her and always say how lucky we are to have such a happy sweet baby girl!

7 months old

Dear Mae,

You are almost 7 months old! Where is the time going!? Days and weeks are going by way too fast! It is so fun to see you learn and grow and change but it is sad that my baby is growing up and changing every single day! Words cannot describe how much I love you little one. Me and your dad had no idea the amount of love and joy you would bring into our lives. You brighten up every single day and make every moment that much more fun. It doesn't matter what we're doing, if your there it's a wonderful time :)

You have mastered the roll and can roll over like no big deal. When something gets in your way though (like the couch or coffee table) you get pretty distressed, it's cute. You yell and yell until we come save you. You can sit up pretty good too but if you start laughing too much or get too excited, you may fall over! You love grabbing anything your hands can reach. Your favorites are jewelry, strings from jackets and sweatshirts, my hair, and anything else that's new and interesting:) you are trying to master your crawl, and you got up on your hands and knees today (so cute!) your head was down and you looked like you kind of couldn't believe what was happening, you are so cute.

We love how happy you are. We get a great big smile whenever we smile and talk to you, it really is the best.

How are we so lucky to be your parents. We love you so much Mae. Thank you for being our sweet baby girl. We are so blessed to have a daughter like you. Xoxoxoxox

2014 Indoor Outdoor Track Season

I have been meaning to do a post on Braydons last track season for forever now! He had an eventful Indoor and Outdoor season in 2014 so I wanted to make sure that we remember it :) Starting in January the Indoor season began and thanks to my family I was able to go to a lot of his track meets which was so much fun!

The Highlight of the Indoor track season was the first meet in Albuquerque where Braydon PR'd and cleared 18ft!!! It was seriously so exciting and such a neat moment to witness. Me and my dad and colton drove down and we almost didn't go because earlier that week Braydon had dislocated his shoulder in practice and he wasn't 100% confident that he was going to be able to jump his best. But luckily my dad made a decision last minute and said lets go! so we did and we were SO happy we were there! Braydon has been SOOO close to hitting the 18ft mark for so long now and I would have been so sad if I had missed it. The look on his face and excitement that radiated from him when he cleared that bar was priceless! I loved it! :)

NCAA Nationals

Braydon was 1 of the 3 athletes on the BYU track team that qualified for Nationals. It was really fun because BYU flew me there too! He did so great and even though he didnt do his very best that day he ended up getting 10th overall! 10th in the Nation for college track! My dad and colton drove down and Steve and Angie also came! It was a good weekend:)

4 months old!

Our baby girl is 4 months old! She is changing so quickly and gets more fun every day! :) she has finally started to laugh a little and it is the cutest thing in the world! seriously though, there are not many sounds that are better than her cute little giggle.

Some of my favorite things about this stage:
-She is starting to discover her hands and grab onto and hold anything in her reach. she has such a strong little grip!
-She loves to stand up with our help of course and its hard to get her to bend her legs sometimes
-Right before she sneezes she does this cute little yell like "ahhhhhhh" then sneezes, i love it!!
-She is spitting up a lot less while eating and nursing is getting so much easier, yay!!!
-She sleeps great at nights, thank goodness. :)
-She is very ticklish!
-She is loving her baths lately and is getting the hang of splashing which is so fun to watch her do
-We are getting better at doing tummy time and she actually seems to not mind it at first as long as she can keep her head from smashing into the ground
-Mae is so smiley and pretty much gives us a big smile every time we look at her
-Getting her out of bed is so fun because she is such a happy little baby when she wakes up!
-She is such a sweet little girl and we LOVE HER SOOOOOOO MUCH!!!!!

Baby Mae- Aug 19th

11am- You are such a sweet baby & me and your dad are so grateful to be your parents! you bring such a sweet spirit into our home and we love it! We love you so much and every day i swear i love you more!  When you are in pain and crying it just breaks my heart and I can already tell this whole motherhood thing is going to be a roller coaster of emotions, in a good way. In a wanting you to always be safe, healthy and happy sort of way...

9 hours later... (It seems that every time I start a blog post about how great things are going and how happy Mae has been, the rest of the day goes quite differently...)

Today has been a busy day. Busy meaning you constantly wanted to be held and rocked & You have not been very happy :/ I think you have a tummy ache or reflux or something because every time you eat your fussy after for a loooong time, and sometimes cry. and you just seem sad. :( You finally fell asleep and are in your crib, I hope you sleep for longer than 40 minutes and maybe this can even be your bedtime for the night! :) I like that idea. I am tired. and I have a headache. But it sure is amazing how quickly I forget about how tiring some days are as soon as you smile and are happy. It immediately makes me feel like the "hard" days really aren't too hard.

We love you Mae! Please sleep soundly and wake up a happy happy girl! :)
